Had some nice local accolades for record of the year…check out the reviews page. I’ve had some contact with my European connection in Germany and there is talk about a European tour with my buddy Kelly Pardekooper. Kelly has a new record out on Trailer Records/Rubric Records entitled House of Mud. We are both on the German label Trocadero Records. Getting ready to go out to Brooklyn this week. I haven’t been out there in over a decade. I’m excited just to get out of town for a while and play for a new audience. Everybody around here has got to be tired of my whiney ass tunes.
I’m real excited about the Yacht Club opening up again. Kudos to Scotty Kading for all his hard work in trying to get the place up and running. The big grand opening is January 24 with Dave Zollo and the Body Electric cutting the musical ribbon. Get your ass out and see that, it’s going to be fun. I’ll be in Brooklyn making the soft sell (always be closing). It was a great place to see music in the old days…kind of like Iowa City’s own Cavern Club.
